OP Fish and Aquaculture
Priority Axis 1: Adaptation of the fishing fleet
This axis include measures that will address key issues in the state of the obsolete Black Sea fleet, intensive exploitation of marine resources and poor state of fisheries infrastructure. Areas of interest include:
- Aid for owners affected by plans to adjust fleet capacity;
- Investment subsidies for modernization of onboard equipment and improving hygiene conditions on board fishing vessels;
- Socio-economic compensation to support management of the fleet, including vocational training;
- Aid for the use of environmentally friendly fishing methods;
Priority Axis 2: Development of aquaculture production, processing and marketing
The aim of this axis is to support the construction, extension, equipment and modernization of manufacturing and processing plants with potential for production of quality fish products. The goals envisioned include:
- Restructuring of aquaculture to improve the quality and diversity of species and other aquatic organisms;
- Construction, extension, equipment and modernization of manufacturing and processing facilities (including equipment for quality conservation control, etc.)
