Documents collection for project funding under the Program for Rural Development will start on April, 17th 2008.

The collection of documents for financing of projects under the Program for Rural Development will start on April, 17th 2008y. PRD will begin with two Measures – modernization of agricultural holdings (Measure 121) and setting up of young farmers (Measure 112).

Under Measure 121 “Modernization of agricultural holdings” financial aid will be granted for tangible and intangible investments, which will improve the overall performance of the agricultural holding, like: purchase, construction and improvement of buildings and other immovable property, purchase and installation of new machines and equipment, creation and re-plantation of perennial plants, introduction of quality management systems, feasibility studies, fees for architects and consultants. The granted financial assistance under Measure 121 will be from 50% to 75% with respect to the location of the agricultural holding and the activities, subject to financial assistance.

Under Measure “Setting up of young farmers” financial aid will be granted for the creation of agricultural farms from farmers at the age of 18 to 40 years, which will have sufficient professional skills and which will lead agricultural production for first time. The Financial aid will be up to the amount of 25 000 euro.
